ADA - Americans With Disabilities ActApplying for ADA Complete the form yourself, or have it filled out by a qualified professional familiar with your condition and return it to the Information Center. It takes 21 days from the receipt of an application for it to be reviewed and processed. Once your application has been reviewed, an Information Specialist will notify whether or not you are eligible for the ADA service. If you have any questions regarding the application process or the ADA services, please call 433-1747 or 433-1749 for TDD calls. A Phone Call Away If you are unable to make a scheduled trip, please call the Dispatcher at least one hour before pick-up time. There are no penalties for canceling, but repeated failure to make scheduled trips may result in suspension of your ADA privileges. Information ADA eligibility must be re-certified every 24 months. ADA service operates in the same service areas as the regular bus route service. Eligible riders must live no more than three-fourths of a mile from a fixed bus line. If an eligible rider lives more than three-fourths of a mile from a bus line, you must make arrangements to meet the van service within three-fourths of a mile to be picked up. Persons certified by another transit system are automatically eligible. If you need assistance getting to or from the van, you can have someone ride with you free of charge. Service is available: Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. ADA van service is NOT available on Sundays or the following holidays: New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
