    How to ride FAST

Locate your starting point, your destination and the bus route nearest them on the map. If the bus route nearest your starting point does not go to your destination, you can transfer to another route for a nominal charge. Call 433-1747 to talk with one of our Transit Information Specialists. They will help you plan your trip or mail schedules for your specific routes.

    The FAST Connector
The FAST connector is a shuttle van service used to extend service to areas less accessible to larger buses (*see transfers) The FAST connector service can be used the same way as the bus service.

    Check the times
Schedules and detailed route maps for each route show the times buses travel along each route. The schedule will also tell you when you can expect to arrive at your destination.

    Bus Stops
The bus makes many stops other than those indicated on the individual route map. To find your nearest stop, look for a blue, red and white FAST bus sign. Arrive two or three minutes early and wait at the bus sign. As the bus arrives, check the route number and destination sign above the windshield to make sure you board the bus you want. If you are not sure that the bus will take you to your destination, ask the driver.

    Wheelchairs are welcome
All of our buses are not wheelchair equipped, however, if you know 24 hours in advance that you will need to use FAST, we will arrange a wheelchair bus for your route. Call our dispatchers at 433-1745 with the route and time you will be riding the bus.

How to use the FAST Timetables
  • To follow a bus trip you read across the page.
  • Times are given only for certain points along the bus route called Time Points. If your departure or arrival points are between one of the Time Points, you will estimate the time the bus will be at your stop.
  • Locate your stop on the map.
  • Then find the nearest time point before your stop.
  • Depending on which way you want to travel, find that time Point on the schedule. Estimate the number of minutes it will take the bus to get from the nearest Time Point to your stop.
  • Then choose the time you need to travel.
  • When a blank appears under a Time point, it means that a bus does not pass by that point on that particular trip.
  • Be at the bus stop a few minutes early to allow for errors in estimating
  • All times listed may vary with weather or traffic conditions.
